THE BACKSTORY

Camino Caffeino started as a retirement dream. Inspired by my grandfather (pictured above) who enjoyed farming during his retirement, selling his produce to his friends out the back of his '86 El Camino.

As a kid I spent my summers on his farm and watched as he stayed in touch with old friends and regularly made new one ones all through a car and produce.

Growing up I realized why he did this. Not to become rich from selling tomatoes, but to become rich from building community, and I wanted to bring a similar concept to my community by serving good, locally roasted coffee to old friends and new.

Thanks to the support from my friends and family (and a lot of Facebook marketplace browsing), I found an El Camino just like his, and started my dream a few years before retirement.

Camino Caffeino regularly hosts pop ups around town and is available for hire at private or public events as well.

This is me, Robert Huffman, back in 1995

at my grandparents farm in Kentucky,

where this dream originated.
